Official World Record, Most Bedrooms in a Non-Collapsible Yurt, issued 15 February 2026 for six enclosed king bedrooms. The record is for bedrooms, not floor area, and it belongs to Luray as built, with the site-built basement under it.
It is the first building of this plan and it is open and rented today. We run four yurt rentals in the US and they sit at the top of their markets.
What you buy is that same building as a kit. Model Nomad-38-Large. A permanent round wood-panel building with larch siding, a continuous metal roof, and a 6 ft (1.8 m) acrylic dome over the middle that opens.

NomadOS, if you rent it out
If you run it as a short-term rental, we can run the property end to end on NomadOS. Listings, pricing, guest messaging, automations, reviews, deposits, and recruiting and coordinating your local cleaners.
The terms: 20% of booking revenue, net of platform commission, refunds and lodging taxes. You pay all property costs. A $25k credit is applied against those fees during the first 12 months. Minimum term is 12 months, then month to month. Unused credit expires.
You do not have to take it. The kit is sold on its own.

Do I need a building permit?
Yes, and it is yours to pull. This is a permanent building, not a tent, so it goes through as a building wherever you are. We send the sealed Luray drawing set and the interior spec list as PDFs and your local engineer stamps them for your code.
How do I get to six bedrooms?
You build a basement under it, as at Luray. The kit is the building above ground, 1,665 sqft (155 sqm) over two levels, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. With a site-built basement under it the plan is 2,811 sqft (261 sqm) over three levels, 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and it sleeps 16. That is Luray, and it is the configuration that holds the record. The basement is not in the kit and not in the price.
Where is it made?
Made in Europe, handed over to your forwarder in Gdansk, Poland.
How long does production take?
The current lead time comes back with the spec and the landed price, because it moves with the order book. Your forwarder books the container once the kit is loaded.
How does shipping work?
One 40 ft container per kit, loaded by us, with the loading and customs paperwork done. The price is FCA Gdansk, Poland, so your forwarder collects it there and takes it the rest of the way.
Who pays duty and taxes?
You do, through your forwarder. Duty, import VAT or GST and inland delivery sit outside our price. We supply the commercial documents, the packing list and the panel index they need.
What is the warranty?
The warranty terms for your country come back with the spec and the landed price.
Can I have the glass roof?
Yes, on request and priced per order. Every yurt we have built carries the metal roof with the 6 ft acrylic dome, so tell us your site and we will quote the glass case separately.
What language are the drawings and the manual in?
English. The assembly manual is editable, so your builder can translate it for the crew.
What about the foundation and the services?
Not in the kit. Foundation, deck, basement, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, kitchen, cabinets, flooring and bathrooms are your local trades, from our drawings and the interior spec list.
Why is it more than the yurt kits I have seen?
Those are shells and tents. This is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom building over two levels with 15 ft (4.6 m) walls, factory-fitted windows and a sealed structural drawing set your engineer can stamp. Put a basement under it and it becomes six bedrooms and three bathrooms over three levels.
